Practical AI training your team will actually use. Built around their workflows

Workshops and multi-session bundles that close the AI skills gap for growing businesses, schools and colleges — turning everyday AI use into real, confident capability. Delivered on-site or online, right across the UK.

The AI skills gap

Your team already uses AI. Far fewer have been trained to use it well.

Across the UK, AI is already part of everyday work — but most people are self-taught, copying prompts and hoping for the best. The gap isn't access to AI; it's the skill to use it well, safely and consistently. And it's widening as the tools outpace the training.

  • 89%of UK employers haven't had staff trained to use AI in the past yearDfE, AI Skills for Life and Work, 2026
  • 94%of organisations aren't yet seeing real returns from AI — despite most now using itMcKinsey, The State of AI, 2025
  • £400bnAI could add to the UK economy by 2030 as work is reshapedUK Government AI Opportunities Action Plan, 2025

Three rungs to close it

  1. StartFocus SessionGet everyone off the starting line — confident, sensible everyday use in 30 minutes.
  2. BuildDeep DiveTurn everyday use into real working capability on your team's own tasks.
  3. EmbedFull DayMake it stick across the whole team, with a plan to keep skills current as tools change.

That gap is exactly what we close. Structured, hands-on training on your team's real work — so everyday AI use turns into genuine capability, not guesswork. See the three formats ↓

Workshop formats

Three formats, built around your schedule

AI sticks when practice is regular: the Deep Dive is the recommended starting point, and short, focused sessions little and often keep it current — while the Full Day Workshop is there when you want an immersive launch, an INSET day or a whole-team away-day.

Online delivery is 10% less.

Upskilling your team

Training that develops your team — not just today's to-do list

Done well, AI training isn't a one-off perk — it's how your whole team keeps growing as the technology does.

  1. Develop real capability

Your team gains practical AI skills they use the same week and build on for good, with a certificate each that counts toward their CPD.

  2. A reason to stay

Investing in skills people genuinely want is one of the best reasons for them to stay — and a confident team stays a step ahead.

  3. Future-proof your team

As the tools change, short regular sessions keep skills current, so your team's capability compounds instead of dating.

  • Practical, knowledgeable and genuinely tailored to education — one of the few AI training providers we've worked with whose sessions staff immediately applied in their day-to-day work.

How an engagement runs

Discovery call, quote in the portal, then we deliver

  1. Free Discovery Call

Your consultant spends 30 minutes understanding your team's workflows so the session lands on what they actually do.

  2. Quote in the portal

Sign up, pick your tier and dates, and we'll send a confirmation in the portal at the published price plus any add-ons. Accept and pay — payment is processed by Stripe; your card details are never stored by us.

  3. We deliver

We tailor the content to your team's real work, then deliver on your chosen date — on-site or online. Deep Dive and above also includes seven days of email Q&A and a written action plan afterwards.

Typical timeline: same-day response on enquiries, quote within 24 hours of the call, delivery from 1 week out.

How we compare

How this compares to other AI training

Most AI training is a one-off slide-deck day or a library of videos to watch. Here’s how a ReadyToday workshop is different — built on your real work, hands-on, and made to stick.

FAQ

Quick answers

What is the AI skills gap, and how does your training close it?

The AI skills gap is the distance between using AI and using it well. Most people are self-taught — copying prompts and getting inconsistent, sometimes risky results — while demand for genuine AI capability races ahead.

The research bears it out: the DfE found only 11% of employers had trained staff to use AI in the past year, and McKinsey reports just 6% of organisations see real returns despite most now using it. We close it the only way that changes daily habits — structured, hands-on training on your team's real tasks, across three formats from a 30-minute Focus Session to a whole-team Full Day.

How quickly can we book?

Enquiries get a same-day response — by end of business on the day you reach out, you'll have the discovery call on the calendar. The quote arrives in the portal within 24 hours of the call.

Workshop delivery is from 1 week out as a minimum — though peak periods (start of term, INSET windows, year-end) push that out, so the earlier you reach out around those dates the better. If you have a hard date, mention it on the enquiry and we'll confirm whether it's realistic before the call.

Do you deliver on-site, and where do you cover?

Yes. We deliver online across the whole UK, and on-site across the UK mainland — working regularly with schools, trusts and businesses in Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Greater London, and further afield on request. On-site delivery is included in the listed price at no extra cost, and online delivery is 10% less.

Are these prices inclusive of VAT?

No. All prices on this page are exclusive of UK VAT, charged at the rate prevailing on the invoice date. This matches the convention for B2B and schools procurement.

Do you offer a discount for booking multiple sessions?

Yes — book three or more AI workshop sessions over a rolling twelve months and every session is 25% off, applied automatically to all of them (not just the later ones). It's published, so there's nothing to negotiate. UK education organisations can take this or the 15% education-sector discount, whichever is greater — the two don't combine.

Are you insured?

Yes — we carry professional indemnity and public liability insurance for our training and consultancy work. Certificates of currency are available on request before any engagement starts; procurement teams can also have them sent direct to a finance or compliance contact.

How is our data handled during a workshop?

We don't take attendee data away from sessions. For live exercises we use either non-sensitive demo data or your team's own examples run on your team's own AI accounts — whichever you prefer, agreed on the discovery call. We don't pass session content to third parties, and any materials produced together (slides, action plan, governance pack) are yours to keep.

Where a session touches personal or pupil data, scope and lawful-basis sit with you as the data controller; we'll flag anything we think needs a DPIA.

Can we cancel or reschedule?

Yes. More than 14 days before the session: no charge. 7 to 14 days before: 20% of the base fee (admin and work already completed). 2 to 7 days before: 40% of the base fee. Less than 2 days before: 60% of the base fee. One free reschedule per booking with 14+ days' notice.

Is your AI training aligned with DfE guidance, KCSIE and UK GDPR?

For schools and multi-academy trusts, yes — we design every education engagement to align with the DfE's guidance on generative AI in education, and to be KCSIE- and UK GDPR-aware. For businesses, the same care applies under UK GDPR and the ICO's guidance on AI and data protection. You stay the data controller; we flag anything that needs a DPIA.

Are you AI specialists, or a general agency?

AI training is a core part of what we do, not a generic course relabelled. For businesses it's built around your real workflows; for schools it's built around real classroom and admin work and aligned with the DfE's guidance on generative AI in education, KCSIE and UK GDPR. We're vendor-neutral — we train your team on whatever you already use — and delivery is in-house, never sub-contracted.

We've already done a free AI course — what does ReadyToday add?

Free foundations are a good place to start — for schools, the DfE’s AI Support Collection and the Chartered College’s assessment; for businesses, the free introductory courses everyone’s tried. They teach the concepts. What they can’t do is change how your team works day to day. ReadyToday is the step after: hands-on, tailored practice on your own real tasks, so the learning turns into changed habits and time saved.

More questions
What actually happens on the discovery call?

Your consultant spends 30 minutes with you understanding your team's day-to-day work, current AI familiarity, and what you want them to walk away able to do. We use it to tailor the session content. The call is free and included on every tier.

Can you train a whole organisation or multi-site trust?

Yes. For organisation-wide and multi-site rollouts we run Enterprise AI Training — we train and certify your designated leads to cascade AI across every site and team, alongside live and online sessions for all staff, plus governance and reporting. It's how a large organisation or multi-academy trust rolls AI out across its whole workforce without a one-size-fits-all course. See our Enterprise AI Training page for how it works.

What happens if our preferred date isn't available, or the delivering consultant is unwell?

Capacity is checked on the discovery call so we don't oversell. If we can't realistically commit to your preferred date, we'll say so before you build a procurement case around it. Delivery is not sub-contracted to outside agencies — if internal capacity doesn't cover a fixed date, we'll propose an alternative slot or step aside so you have time to find another provider.

Peak windows (start of term, INSET days, year-end) book up first, so naming a hard date in the initial enquiry helps flag conflicts early. If the assigned consultant is unwell on the day, the session is rescheduled with a 10% discount on the base fee by way of apology for the disruption.

Who actually runs the workshop?

An AI specialist from the ReadyToday consultancy team. Workshops are not sub-contracted to outside agencies. The same consultant who runs your discovery call delivers the session and answers your post-workshop Q&A.

Does the training count toward CPD?

Yes — we issue a digital certificate per attendee and the session counts toward your staff's continuing professional development (CPD) records, ready to add to their CPD logs.

Which AI tools do you cover — Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude?

All of them, plus whatever sits on top of your stack (Gemini, Notion AI, Perplexity, vendor-specific tools). We pick the tools on the discovery call so the session is concrete and relevant — not vendor-agnostic theory.

Can we see a sample agenda or past deliverables before booking?

Yes. Ask on the discovery call or in your initial enquiry and we'll share an anonymised sample agenda, a post-workshop action plan and — for organisations that want governance guidance — a redacted sample governance pack relevant to your sector.

What's the minimum group size?

One. Pricing is per-session and includes up to 300 attendees, with a per-attendee uplift for any above 300. The base price applies whether you bring 5 attendees or 300.

Do you train students or only staff?

Staff and adult learners only as standard. Sessions for under-18s require additional safeguarding scoping — get in touch and we'll quote it separately.

Which workshop format fits our team?

It depends on the change you want and the time you can set aside. The Focus Session is a sharp 30-minute CPD push — ideal little and often, weekly or fortnightly, to keep AI use building without disrupting the calendar.

The Deep Dive is our recommended starting point: 3.5 hours of hands-on practice on your team's real tasks, covering multiple workflows, with a written action plan. The Full Day Workshop is the immersive option — six hours that take a team from foundations to confident, hands-on use in one go, ideal for INSET days, team away-days and launch moments.

Many teams combine them: a Full Day to launch, then short sessions to keep practice current as the tools change.

What 1:1 follow-up support do we get after a workshop?

More than a one-off day. The Deep Dive and every tier above it include seven days of direct email Q&A with the same consultant who delivered your session. If you're booking an ongoing series, three or more sessions over a rolling year take 25% off every session — a practical way to keep support and momentum going. For organisation-wide rollouts, Enterprise AI Training adds scheduled support and direct access. And if you want dedicated 1:1 follow-up for specific staff, we can scope it — so people can troubleshoot their real work after the session, not just on the day.

How do you compare to funded Skills Bootcamps or college AI courses?

They're useful and, where you qualify, can be low-cost — and for deep technical upskilling of one individual they're a sensible route. They're also generic, eligibility-based and run to a fixed curriculum on someone else's timetable. We're the opposite: bespoke to your organisation, built on your own tasks, delivered when and where suits you, with no eligibility hoops. Many teams use a funded course for one technical specialist and us for practical, whole-team capability this term.

How do you make sure the training actually changes daily habits, not just a good day out?

Three things, by design. First, a free discovery call before delivery acts as a needs assessment — we learn your team's real bottlenecks and tailor the session. Second, sessions are device-on and hands-on: staff work their own upcoming tasks and leave with usable results, not notes to action later. Third, we differentiate by role — leaders and different teams can be split so each group works on what they actually do.

And the follow-up matches the format — a written action plan and seven days of email Q&A from the Deep Dive up, plus an embedding plan on the Full Day — so the practice turns into lasting habits.

Why book live training instead of a video-library subscription?

A library of recorded courses is useful reference, but watching videos rarely changes daily habits — most staff never finish them, and nothing is built around your own tasks. Live, hands-on sessions on your real work, with someone in the room to unstick people, change practice in a way passive video doesn't. If you want both, use the free foundations as your on-demand library and us for the hands-on change.
